SMART Foundation Celebrates 80th Independence Day with a Commitment to Educational Independence and Inclusion
SMART Foundation celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India at its Head Office with a meaningful initiative promoting educational independence, equality and inclusion.
The National Flag was hoisted by Mr. Mahendiran, Advocate, Managing Trustee, SMART Foundation, marking the commencement of the celebrations.
As part of the occasion, educational scholarships were presented to deserving students from differently abled families who are first-generation graduates pursuing BCA studies at a private college in Redhills, Thiruvallur. The initiative aims to support students who are striving to pursue higher education despite social, economic and family challenges.
Advocate Dr. S.M. Abinaya, Founder Trustee and CEO of SMART Foundation, Member-CWC, Govt of Tamil Nadu, presented the scholarship cheques to the students and their families, expressing her happiness in supporting their educational journey.
The initiative reflects SMART Foundation's belief that true independence includes the freedom to learn, aspire, become self-reliant and live with dignity. Supporting first-generation learners from differently abled families is a step towards breaking barriers to education and building a more inclusive society.
Through this initiative, SMART Foundation reaffirmed its vision of "Marching Towards an Inclusive Society", where education becomes a pathway to empowerment and equal opportunity.
"Independence is not complete until every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow and live with dignity."
