Mobility for the Differently Abled: Neo Motion Wheelchair Distribution
50 motorised wheelchairs, 50 new journeys towards independence.
Mobility is the foundation of independence. Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, SMART Foundation distributed Neo Motion wheelchairs to 50 persons with disabilities on 12 December 2022, through a CSR project with Mobis India Foundation.
Neo Motion wheelchairs combine a personalised wheelchair with a motorised attachment, allowing users to travel longer distances on their own. Beneficiaries were identified through NIEPMD, Chennai and partner institutions.
Each wheelchair is more than a device. It is a way back to school, to work and to community life, with greater confidence and dignity.
